Being “Radical Middle” is not easy. This is a hard place to be in our field. It will be difficult to be a TRMer and you will need to work hard to think in this way.
Some people may worry that being a TRMer is about compromise. This is a misconception.
What we aim to do: Offer practical, evidence-based solutions to issues surrounding the educational needs of children who are DHH without bias toward any single modality of communication.
Our goal is to help parents, families, educators, individuals, make choices based on evidence and not opinion, and to respect the choices made by families and individuals, regardless of whether or not those choices align with our own, personal philosophical leanings (we are all in this together!).
Does this sound like you? If it does, you may be a TRMer!
